THIS year's Bagley Wood Fun Run in Kennington will be held on Sunday, June 12.

Dozens of locals are expected to join the sprint, jog or walk to raise money for village charity Kennington Overseas Aid.

This year, participants are invited to set off from Forest Side Playing Field behind Upper Road in Kennington at 11.30am.

The course takes runners through a three-and-a-half mile route through Bagley Wood on land owned by St John's College, Oxford.

As in previous years, prizes are up for grabs for the first 50 finishers under 12 and the first man and first woman across the line.

This year for the first time there will also be a men's and women's memorial cup.

All runners must pay to enter and all profits go to foreign charity work supported by Kennington Overseas Aid.

An "early bird" ticket offer on the charity's website makes adult tickets £7, under-18s £4 and family tickets, for two adults and up to four under-18s £15.

Tickets will also be available on the day at £10 for adults, £5 for under-18s and £20 for families, but entry on the day closes at 11.15am.
