TEN-year-old Ivy Van Bockel takes a bite of her winning cupcake design for Maison Blanc.
The New Hinksey Primary School pupil saw her cupcake design become a reality after she became the regional winner of the competition run by the patisserie in Oxford.
Also a member of the 2nd Oxford Scouts, Ivy, who has an interest in cooking, designed a light yellow cupcake with music notes and a chocolate swirl.
Her dad, Matthew Van Bockel, said she was "delighted" when they found out she had won.
The father-of-four, who lives in Grandpont after emigrating from Australia, said: "She was really excited to have won, it was a really lovely surprise.
"She is definitely interested in cooking and she'll help her mum out from time to time.
"We have just moved to Oxford in October from Australia and I think her winning this has really helped her find her niche."
The competition is part of a partnership with music therapy charity, Nordoff Robbins.
Ivy was presented with her cake design yesterday, made as a one-off by Maison Blanc's chief patissier, Alexandre Gresset.
