ARTS, crafts and recyclables made up a whole host of present ideas at Oxford Town Hall on Saturday.

More than 100 stallholders and traders pitched up for the 35th Winter Green Fair including local businesses, charities and campaign groups.

Oxford author Philip Pullman, best known for his Dark Materials trilogy, opened the fair, which put an emphasis on economical values.

Stallholder Cheryl Richards was at the fair for the first time selling her eco-friendly creations at Colourful Creations Contemporary Homeware.

She said: “I do eco-friendly homeware using recycled coconut bowls made from shells for example.
