Saïd Business School has become the first business school in the UK to be awarded a “food for life” catering award.
The school – part of Oxford University – has been commended for its “fresh, environmentally sustainable, quality meals”.
The food outlets at the school, which has sites in Park End Street in Oxford and Egrove Park near Kennington, were collectively awarded the Food for Life Catering Mark, an independent verification from the Soil Association, which campaigns for organic food and farming.
Three of the food outlets at the school are run by caterers BaxterStorey, which offers food from cakes and coffee to fine dining.
BaxterStorey food and beverage manager Daniel O’brien said: “The Catering Mark gives our customers the assurance that all items we offer are sourced as locally as possible.”
