Oxford's Low Carbon Hub social enterprise has been nominated for the Observer Ethical Awards for a second year.
The annual awards, known as the ‘Green Oscars’, celebrate individuals and groups doing ‘inspiring things’ for the environment globally or locally.
The hub is one of three organisations shortlisted for the Community Energy Project Award, along with Repowering London and Plymouth Community Energy.
CEO Barbara Hammond said: “The hub’s 2014/15 project will see 1MW of solar panels installed across the county, enough to power 260 homes, and save 385 tonnes of CO2 per year.”
