Works on Plain roundabout in Oxford nearing end
OXFORD: Work to improve The Plain roundabout is nearly finished, chiefs say.
Oxfordshire County Council is carrying out resurfacing work overnight at the junction until April 24 with footway work during the day. Work on Magdalen Bridge is due to take place during May.
The latest stage has seen the exit from the roundabout to Iffley Road closed since March 23 for work at the top of the road. It is anticipated that it will end on Friday (April 17).
The £1.3m scheme will see lanes widened and tighter entrances and exits to the roundabout to slow traffic and make it safer.
