A university porter has left his job to run as an MP for UKIP.
Kendrick “Dickie” Bird resigned after three years as a porter at Oriel College in King Edward Street, to campaign for the Banbury seat in next year’s General Election. Mr Bird joined UKIP in 2009 and ran in the local council elections.
