Two drug dealers have been jailed for possessing about £90,000 of drugs.

Callum Spencer, 22, and Yusto Otunnu, 32, pleaded guilty to drug offences at Oxford Crown Court on Friday.

The men were arrested at 8.30am on July 17 near Headington’s Green Road roundabout before officers searched the men and their cars.

Police found Spencer with about £10,000 of drugs in total in his pocket, in his car and at a Blackbird Leys address, as well as £1,400 cash.

Otunnu was found with 1.2 kilograms of drugs, worth about £80,000, in the boot of his car, as well as £2,500 cash.

Spencer, of Wynbush Road, Rose Hill, and Otunnu, of Hastoe Grange, Headington, both pleaded guilty to one count of possession with the intent to supply heroin and one count with the intent to supply cocaine.

Spencer was sentenced to four years’ imprisonment while Otunnu was sentenced to seven and a half years behind bars.

Investigating officer Sgt James Blackmore said: “I am pleased with the sentences handed down to Spencer and Otunnu which mean two more drug dealers have been removed from the communities in Oxford.

“I trust the outcome of this case shows other drug dealers that we are dedicated to removing them from the streets and locking them up for a long time.”

The conviction is another under Operation Bilbo, Thames Valley Police's taskforce to target heroin and cocaine dealers.

Prior to this conviction, the team had confiscated about £230,000 worth of drugs so far this year.
