THE A40 is currently closed in both directions near Burford.
Police are on scene attending to a two-car collision.
It is not known if anyone has been injured at this stage.
The incident occurred between the A429 Northleach and A361 High Street, Burford. The road was only partially blocked at first however a full closure is now in place.
Queuing traffic is reported to be heavy coming to and from Witney as a result.
