The trial of a man who is accused of trespass with intent to commit a sex offence has been put off because the alleged victim is unwell.
Ian Anderson, of Linden Close, Calne, was due to appear before a jury at Swindon crown court today after pleading not guilty to the charges.
But after hearing the woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, had undergone surgery and would need three months to recuperate the case was adjourned.
Judge Douglas Field remanded the 60-year-old in custody until the trial date, which has yet to be fixed but is expected to be in late summer.
Anderson is said to have committed the alleged offences on Friday August 3 into the following morning.
