BASINGSTOKE law firm Phillips Solicitors has appointed Hayley Eachus to its board of directors.

Well-known in the Kempshott area as a borough councillor, Hayley, right, is a senior associate with the firm, in London Street.

Hayley was educated at the then Harriet Costello School, in Cross-borough Hill, and while training for her legal practise course, earned a distinction before being admitted as a solicitor in 2005.

She joined Phillips’ family law team in June 2007, and became a senior associate last year.

“I’m delighted and proud to be appointed a director at Phillips,” said Hayley. “Phillips has built its reputation on providing an excellent level of client care and I look forward to contributing further to the company’s continued growth and success.”

In addition to her legal career, Hay-ley is passionate about community affairs, and was elected as a borough councillor in 2010.

She is currently Cabinet member for community services and sits on the Basing View executive committee and joint Manydown committee.

As a director of Phillips, she will continue to specialise in all aspects of family law, including dealing with conveyancing transactions resulting from financial settlements within divorce or relationship breakdown.

As well as general civil disputes, her expertise also covers landlord and tenant law, both residential and commercial, acting for either land-lords or tenants.

l On Saturday, Phillips is holding an informal open morning with home-made cakes and coffee, from 10am to 1pm.

Among those on hand to answer questions will be the team from the firm’s wills and probate department.
