Where have all the cuckoos, rather than flowers, gone? Many people may not realise that Petersfinger was famed for this much loved bird.
Also, thinking of possible further development of the area, what about the Anglo-Saxon cemeteries? I read in Salisbury - A New Approach to the City and its Neighbourhood, edited by Hugh Shortt, with photographs by Sir Cecil Beaton, of “evidence of early Saxon occupation in the neighbourhood, notably in the cemeteries discovered at Petersfinger.”
