Pupils at Didcot’s St Birinus School made hand-held catapults and showed off their products in a Dragons Den-style presentation this week.
Staff at the Mereland Road school joined forces with staff from energy firm Npower, which owns Didcot power station, to encourage children to find out about science and technology.
Staff from Npower’s Enthuse programme worked with 186 boys over two days on a series of engineering and technology projects. Oliver Copping, 14, pictured, from Didcot said: “It was interesting to learn how engineering and science links with everyday life.”
