A DEDICATED fundraiser was given a 30th birthday to remember by enjoying a day at Buckingham Palace.
Andy Baker, who has raised nearly £100,000 for good causes including Oxford Children’s Hospital over the last 16 years, was a special guest at the Queen’s garden party on Tuesday.
The Didcot campaigner, who was born with a brain injury, founded the charitable organisation Play2Give in 2007.
He visited the palace with mum Ann Baker.
He said: “It was the best birthday I have ever had.
“You never think you are going to get to go to the palace, it was a dream come true.
“It was such a nice way to thank me for everything I have done and is a tribute to everybody that has helped me.”
Mr Baker is now just £7,000 away from reaching £100,000 and hopes to pass the milestone by the end of the year.
