NARNIA, Middle Earth and Neverland are no longer suburbs of Didcot after lettering on road signs directing drivers to the fictional lands were removed.
Oxfordshire County Council promised to remove what it calls 'vandalism' after at least five signs were doctored by a mystery artist, who claims he was just trying to make people smile.
And this morning, directions to some of the most famous locations from film and fiction were notably absent as the Oxford Mail took a tour round the town.
However, it seems as if council teams may have been in a rush.
Though the area on which this rogue lettering is now squeaky clean, the rest of the sign remains as dirty as it was before, with the legitimate destinations obscured by a thick layer of dirt.
