A HEN re-homing day is being planned for Didcot this month.
The British Hen Welfare Trust is appealing for animal lovers to get in touch if they would like to attend the event.
The charity is attempting to find new homes for thousands of former battery hens who would otherwise be killed at the end of their useful commercial lives.
It is looking at bring some 200 chickens to Didcot on Sunday, September 24, 100 of which still need homes.
Anyone interested in adopting chickens is asked to register online at bhwt.org.uk then call 01884 860084 to confirm.
