THE London Paddington to Didcot Parkway route has been revealed as one of the worst-value rail services in the country.
Data analysed by The Sunday Times showed rail passengers were paying 59p per mile - the fourth worst on major routes - but 60.2 per cent of trains were delayed or cancelled.
The report used punctuality data for four weeks in August and prices charged in order to gauge value for money.
It monitored 360 journeys into and out of London, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds and Glasgow.
