YOUNG dancers from Didcot wowed the crowd at a night to celebrate young people and what "home" means to them.

Girls from the Step in Time Dance School showed off their moves at Didcot's Cornerstone arts centre.

The event was organised by SOHA housing association to celebrate building its 2,000th home last year in Didcot's Great Western Park estate.

The firm launched a project with youngsters across south Oxfordshire to find out what "home" meant to them.

The company recruited artist Clinton Osborne to interview young people and make a 40-minute film with their responses, which was premiered on Thursday, February 11.

The film is made up of clips of children and teenagers drawing their interpretation of the word "home" while talking about their thoughts on it.

As well as the premiere of the finished film, SOHA also put on a slew of entertainment by young people for young people.

SOHA resident involvement manager Jackie Logan, who oversaw the whole project, said: "It was fabulous – it went really well."

She said she and others at SOHA had been delighted with youngsters' "imaginative" and "inspirational" contributions to the film.
