SOBELL House, a hospice charity, has opened a new shop in the centre of Didcot.
The charity’s new furniture and fashion shop was officially opened on Friday by Didcot mayor Des Healy.
The store in Broadway will sell a range of clothes and furniture donated by residents.
The hospice, based at the Churchill Hospital in Headington, cares for more than 3,000 patients each year at the in-patient unit, at their homes and across the county’s hospitals.
Chief executive Diane Gardner said: “Thank you so much to the community in Didcot who got the shop off to a fantastic start. The support on Friday and over the weekend has been wonderful.
“There are still lots of volunteer opportunities available to be filled in the shop and we are happy to receive donated goods.”
The charity relies on £1.5 million worth of donations each year to run its £4 million operation.
You can donate by going to the shop at 94-96 Broadway.
