Man admits GBH that sparked major chemical alert

A man has admitted inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent in relation to an incident that sparked a major chemical alert.

John Harrison, of Park Close, Didcot, appeared in Oxford Crown Court yesterday accused of attacking Robert Sinclair on August 1 this year. He admitted being responsible for the victim’s serious head injury and will be sentenced on February 7.

Emergency services were called to a house in Park Close, Didcot, at about 6.20am on August 1 and found 50-year-old Mr Sinclair inside. Harrison, 43, was remanded in custody.
