FOUR good causes are appealing for votes from people in Kidlington as they compete for £3,000 in funding from Lloyds TSB.
The nominees are the Oxfordshire Prostate Cancer Support Group, Bicester Foodbank, Homestart and Kidlington Guides.
They have been nominated by the Kidlington branch of the TSB to get the funding through the bank’s community fund.
The prostate cancer support group, which meets regularly to provide support for men suffering from the disease, is hoping to raise cash and awareness.
Group member John Goldsmith said: “We want the money, but we also want to get the message out to men that a simple blood test will tell them what’s going on with their prostate.”
