A 16-year-old boy was robbed at knifepoint behind Bicester Leisure Centre.

Police said the victim was in the playing fields behind the centre at about 10pm on Thursday, September 8 when he was approached by a black man about 6ft tall and threatened with a knife.

The man, who was of slim build and wearing a black hooded top, stole the boy's red and black P1 mountain bike which has chunky tyres and black central hubs as well as his black Nike rucksack.

Investigating officer Det Con Timothy Hawley said: "If you have any information about this incident please contact me via the Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101."

The force did not release information about the incident until today.
