A man was arrested by police on suspicion of burglary yesterday at a house in Weston-on-the-Green.
Thames Valley Police said a member of the public was in Church Lane at about 12.45pm when they saw a man walking in front of a house wearing gloves.
Thinking this was suspicious, they called the police who then turned up to arrest the man.
Cherwell LPA community relations officer Michelle Miller said in a message to residents: "As always we urge you to be extra vigilant and report anything you feel is suspicious to us straight away on the non-emergency no.101.
"Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
"Please remember your safety is paramount and therefore you should not do anything that may put you at risk."
