About 500 homes in the Bicester area were without electricity this afternoon after a tree fell and damaged an overhead power line.
More than 40 postcodes in the OX7 area were without power for about an hour while Scottish Southern Electric sent out engineers to fix the problem.
Power was turned back at about 2.15pm after engineers removed the tree.
A SSE spokesman said: "We would like to apologise to our customers and we have ensured that we did everything we could to solve the problem quickly."
We're sorry for the #PowerCut affecting the #Bicester area. We have engineers on their way to locate and repair the fault.
