COMMUNITIES have rallied together in Bicester to help track down a missing pub pup called Jager.

The ‘peekapoo’ – a Pekinese/poodle cross – who went missing from the Saxon pub in the early hours of Tuesday morning has been the centre of a huge community team effort in finding him.

Crowds of people gathered on Tuesday night in the town centre after a social media appeal to bring him home.

His owner Carly Janman, general manager at the Saxon in Sheep Street, said: “He is really friendly, he loves people.

“Lots of people are helping. People I do not even know are all pulling together to search for him.”

The search party was set up by Ms Janman after the tiny poodle cross was last seen at 1.30am on Tuesday by someone on the corner of St John’s Street by the roundabout.

The missing pup’s photo was posted on social media sites, with one picture on Facebook shared 2,692 times.

On the picture Ms Janman commented: “ I am broken, please please please share and help me find him – it is freezing and he will be so scared.”

Jager is mostly grey and dark grey with two white paws. Ms Janman said he looks a lot like a shitzsu.

If you have any information on Jager that can help call the Oxford Mail on 01865 425427.
