A cyclist was punched repeatedly and knocked off his bike by a driver in Bicester.
The 22-year-old victim was cycling through Boston Road to work at about 7.15am on January 15, when a silver car drove past.
The car then turned into a side road where the driver got out and punched the victim in the face, knocking him off his bike and hit him again.
Investigating officer PC Kevin Dell, based at Bicester police station, said: "I am appealing for witnesses who may have been in the area at the time.
"We believe that the driver of a white van stopped to help the victim, and may hold some information that could assist with the investigation.”
Anyone with information should call 101.
