FIRE crews battled a blaze believed to be started by children at a disused factory in Bicester yesterday evening.
Fifteen firefighters in three fire engines from Bicester and Oxford attended the scene in Bessimer Close at 5.50pm, where a pile of rubbish had been set alight.
Station manager at Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue headquarters in Kidlington Mark Ames said he believed children broke into the factory and set the rubbish on fire.
No-one was injured in the fire and Thames Valley Police is treating the incident as suspicious.
