FRIENDSHIP, personal service and global understandings are the foundations of an Oxfordshire women’s group looking for new members.
The ladies of the Inner Wheel group in Bicester, which works to bring members together and raise charity funds, are embarking on their 59th year.
President Rosemary Waterhouse said the group wanted to attract new members so it can expand.
She said: “ Primarily our aim is promote friendship. The Inner Wheel is for women moving with the times and to help those less fortunate.
“Obviously we would like anyone who felt they might be interested to join us.”
The Bicester club has held fundraising lunches, a chef’s demonstration and coffee mornings over the last year, raising a total of £500 for the Leonard Cheshire Disability charity and £410 for Help for Heroes.
