BICESTER’S first job fair of the year has seen a record number of businesses sign up.

A total of 45 different business organisations will fill the John Paul II Centre on April 29 for opportunities in varying careers and callings across the jobs board.

Cherwell District Council, which has organised the event, has said it has been “inundated” with interest from employers wanting to attend the event.

Head of strategic planning and the economy at the council Adrian Colwell said: “For businesses, it is a great chance to promote their vacancies for free to jobseekers and those seeking employment can find everything they need under one roof.

“Once again we have a diverse range of organisations and jobs on offer to suit the needs, skills and interests of everyone.

“With all the businesses now in place, we are getting ready to welcome hundreds of jobseekers through the doors on April 29.”

Each organisation will host a stand with information on vacancies and information about businesses, with representing on hand to answer any questions.

The event, which also includes information on education, training and apprenticeships in Bicester, will run from 10.30am to 2.30pm.
