The 13 teams battled it out across a number of hockey matches before Longfield Primary School and Five Acres Primary and Foundation Stage School were crowned winners, receiving certificates and medals.

Mrs Allen added: “The highly successful partnership of Bicester Hockey Club and the North Oxfordshire School Sport Partnership Schools in the Bicester Area, built up in recent years, has meant that hundreds of young people have been introduced to, and have had fun playing, hockey.

“Many have joined Bicester Hockey Club’s junior section and it is hoped that the children who have participated in this festival will have been similarly inspired.”
