A MAN and a woman were racially abused and threatened onboard a train at Bicester North, British Transport Police have said. 

Police are investigating the incident which happened on Saturday. 

A large group of men boarded the train at the station before one of the group asked the pair to move up to make some space.

They were unable to do so in the crowded train, which prompted a tirade of racially and religiously offensive abuse and threats from the man, police said. 

The man was been described as white, aged between 30 and 40, of medium build with a shaven head, blue eyes and a gap between his fron teeth. He was wearing a green/khaki parker type jacket.

It took place around 9pm on the Chiltern Railways 8pm train from London Marylebone to Birmingham Snow Hill.
