Drivers faced severe delays after a collision on the M40.
South Central Ambulance staff were called at about 10.50am on Saturday after a car had overturned between junction 8a at Oxford and junction 9 at Bicester.
One man in his 70s was treated at the scene. One lane of the M40 northbound was closed while emergency services recovered the vehicle.
The driver of a grey Volkswagen Passat was airlifted to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
