Footballer admits breaking jaw

A 26-year-old footballer has admitted assaulting an opposition player during a friendly.

Benjamin Louther was playing for Wroxton Heath when he punched Kings Sutton player Callum Black, fracturing his jaw, on August 31 last year.

Louther, of Sir Henry Jake Close, Banbury, admitted causing grievous bodily harm at Oxford Crown Court on Friday. He was granted bail until he is sentenced on May 11.

I could understand it if they were vying for a pro contract at £thousands per week, but they are just playing for fun, what is the point of all that. But then again some people are just thugs wherever they are.
