BANBURY Priscilla Madden, 39, of Stud Lane, Birmingham, admitted shoplifting four tops valued at £160 from River Island and two pairs of jeans valued at £169.99 from Republic in Banbury on January 19. Given an eight-week curfew and told to pay £47.50 compensation.

Jake Preedy, 20, of Mascord Road, Banbury, admitted possessing cannabis (Class B) in Banbury on February 11. Given a 12-week curfew.

David Taylor, 28, of Main Road, Horley, admitted drink driving in Wroxton, on February 4. Had 117 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Given 80 hours’ unpaid work with £85 costs. Banned from driving for two years.

Henry Wright, 42, of West Street, Chipping Norton, admitted assault by beating in Chipping Norton on January 20. Given a 16-week prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, 280 hours’ unpaid work, a six-month restraining order. Also told to pay £500 compensation and £85 costs.

Oliver Black, 19, of The Fairway, Banbury, admitted being drunk and disorderly in Corn Street, Witney, on October 21 and committing a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge. Fined £290, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £95 costs.
