TWO drivers had a lucky escape after their cars collided at 'quite a speed', which caused one of them to flip onto its side.
One person was taken to hospital following the collision yesterday evening at the crossroads between Wigginton and Hook Norton.
Both occupants in the cars managed to climb out of their vehicles prior to firefighters arriving shortly after 7.30pm.
Crew Manager Ivor Matthews said: "Both vehicles came together at quite a speed, with one coming to rest on its side - thankfully neither vehicle’s occupants were trapped.
"One casualty was taken to the John Radcliffe for precautionary checks.
"The road remained closed while Thames Valley Police conducted their investigations."
