He had been driving from Adderbury towards Deddington at about 7.30am when his car collided with a tipper lorry travelling the other way.
The Volkswagen Passat car behind him also crashed, and a green Peugeot 206 was hit with debris.
Thames Valley Police confirmed that he died at the scene, and his next of kin had been informed.
Senior investigating officer Sgt Jack Hawkins, from the Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing, said: “I would like to speak to anyone saw the collision or saw the vehicles travelling prior to the collision.”
