SUFFERING from back pain this Christmas?

People in Banbury are being offered free chiropractic sessions in return for donations of unwanted Christmas toys and gifts.

Banbury Salvation Army is teaming up with Restore Chiropractic, based in Parsons Street, to collect toys for families in need.

As part of the chiropractor’s Treatment for Toys day tomorrow on Tuesday (December 8), patients will receive free treatment in exchange for donations of new toys to the value of their treatment.

Church leader Lieutenant Xander Coleman said: “During the festive season, when many are enjoying celebrations with friends and family, others are struggling to make ends meet.

“Our team of volunteers will be distributing your generous Christmas gifts to those who might otherwise go without.

“The Christmas story inspires us as a church to reach out to those in need, so we’re running the Christmas present appeal to ensure even the most vulnerable children get a present.”

Donated gifts can include educational toys for young children, and games and accessories for older children and teenagers. Food items and used products are not appropriate.

People can also drop unused toys in to Restore from December 8 to December 14, and they will be given out to local groups and children’s centres.

Lieutenant Coleman said: “It’s wonderful to see parents’ faces light up when they know their child will have something to open on Christmas Day.

“If you have children, grandchildren, or children you support, think of what they might like in their Christmas stocking and consider buying an extra present and donating it.”
