A 30-year-old woman was punched in the face by a man in Banbury.
Thames Valley Police said the woman was assaulted in St Mary's churchyard in Horse Fair between 3.30pm and 3.45pm on September 20.
Officers said the man hit her twice in the face causing injuries to her mouth and nose but she did not require hospital treatment.
PC Dominic Watson said: “This was an assault in broad daylight, in a public churchyard in the centre of Banbury.
“I would like to speak to anyone who was walking through or past St Mary’s Church yard and may have seen this incident."
Police said a 30-year-old man from Banbury had been arrested and bailed until October 1.
