Police are looking for six children who damaged a boat on the Oxford Canal near Banbury.

The group of boys and girls cut the mooring ropes and damaged the windows of a Wilderness narrowboat last Sunday at about 4pm.

Thames Valley Police provided descriptions of two of the offenders.

One was a boy of medium build with light-coloured hair, which was short at the sides, and long and curly on top.

Another vandal was a girl aged about 13 with long chestnut-coloured hair.

The incident took place along the canal between the M40 and the viaduct near Banbury.
