TWO men who attacked a 19-year-old and left him needing metal plates to repair his broken jaw have been sentenced for grievous bodily harm.
Thames Valley Police said Tomas McLaughlin, 23, from Bretch Hill, Banbury, and Daniel Lewis, 18, from Millers Way in Middleton Cheney, punched the young man in the face in Market Place, Banbury, at about 2am on May 5 last year.
The victim suffered three fractures to his jaw and needed surgery at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, to have metal plates fitted.
Both men pleaded guilty at Oxford Crown Court on March 19.
McLaughlin was sentenced to two years in prison and Lewis was handed a deferred sentence for six months, with 180 hours of community service, curfew and tag.
