A man was airlifted to hospital yesterday after a crash near Banbury.

He was taken by air ambulance to University Hospital Coventry after the incident involving a blue Nissan and silver Vauxhall, which happened on the A361 in Williamscot Hill.

Police were called at 10.36am and closed the road in both directions between junction 11 of the M40 and the road leading to Williamscot.

Two other people suffered minor injuries in the crash yesterday and were treated at the scene.
