CULINARY wizards are needed to cook up a fundraising feast to celebrate this month’s National Adoption Week.

Banbury-based charity Adoption UK is hoping keen chefs will get busy in the kitchen to help boost funds.

This year National Adoption Week aims to encourage more people to adopt siblings together.

It began yesterday and is set to run until Sunday.

Adoption UK chief executive Hugh Thornbery said: “We’d like as many people as possible to get together this year to host an event and to celebrate adoption.

“Adoption offers positive outcomes for children from the care system, providing them with a permanent family that many of them might not have if they remained in the system.

“Fundraising is vital to Adoption UK and we appreciate every effort to raise money for us, every penny of which helps us to support people parenting some of society’s most vulnerable children.”

This month Adoption UK is also hoping residents will join its Let’s Eat Together month by holding food-related events.

Money raised will enable the charity to continue supporting families adopting a child.
