BATS living at a former garden centre are to be captured by hand and their resting places destroyed to make way for two five-bedroom homes.
Developer Stuart James Ltd has won a licence from Natural England to move or disturb three species of bat living at the former Hills Nurseries on Appleton Common.
The species are the brown long-eared, common pipistrelle and soprano pipistrelle.
