Detectives investigating the murder of Kerry Reeves plan to request more time to quiz two suspects.

The 26-year-old was shot in the head outside a block of flats in Thornhill Walk, Abingdon, on Tuesday last week, and rushed to the John Radcliffe Hospital where she died nearly two days later.

Two 20-year-old men, one from Corby, Northamptonshire, and the other from Ealing, London, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently in police custody.

Thames Valley Police spokesman James Williams said the force planned to apply today for an extension for more time to interview the two men.

Last night Thames Valley Police launched an appeal to trace a woman who could hold vital information about the murder.

They said they wanted to trace the woman, who was spotted sitting in a white vehicle in Thornhill Walk around the time of the shooting.

A post mortem examination has revealed that the preliminary cause of Miss Reeves' death was a gunshot wound to the head.

Many floral tributes for Miss Reeves have been left close to the scene of the shooting.
