A man has been charged after a woman died when the car they were travelling in hit a tree.
David Farnell, 28, of no fixed address, was charged with causing death by driving without due care and attention while over the alcohol limit.
He was also charged with one count of causing death by driving whilst uninsured.
It follows the crash that happened on Monday, July 27, in Drayton Road when a blue silver Mitsubushi L200 lost control and collided with a tree.
Claire Caldwell, 43 from Fyfield Wick, Abingdon, was a passenger in the car and died at the scene.
Mrs Caldwell, who was also known as Claire Mayhew, lived in Oaks Caravan Park in the village.
At the opening to Mrs Caldwell's inquest on Tuesday, August 4, reading from a police report at Oxford Coroner’s Court Mr Salter said: “Mrs Caldwell was a front seat passenger. The vehicle appears to have travelled across the carriageway and crashed forcefully into a tree.”
Her inquest is expected to resume on January 26.
