Three teenage boys have been arrested on suspicion of arson following a huge fire that ripped through a barn in East Hanney.

The blaze started at about 4pm at the barn in Steventon Road opposite La Fontana restaurant.

Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said 100 tonnes on straw inside the barn were fully engulfed in the flames and the fire could be seen for miles around.

Steventon Road was closed on Friday night due to the fire but reopened Saturday morning.

Today, Thames Valley Police confirmed two 13-year-old boys and a 15-year-old boy were arrested yesterday on suspicion of arson.

They have been released on bail until December 3.

Police added the fire was an isolated incident and nobody else is wanted in connection with the blaze.
