TWO men were taken to hospital after a "frightening and violent attack" by burglars in Abingdon.
Thames Valley Police said the attack took place yesterday at about 5.30am in a property in St John's Road, Abingdon.
Three men entered and stabbed one man in the thigh with a sharp instrument and hit another with what was possibly a baseball bat across the nose.
Both victims received hospital treatment but have now been discharged, the force said.
Det Con Petra Summers, of Abingdon CID, said: “This was a frightening and violent attack.
"I would appeal to anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area at this time or who knows anything about this incident to contact police.
“If you don't want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
