A MAN tried to rob a shop in Abingdon last night but left empty-handed.
Police said a man targeted the Best One convenience store in Oxford Road at about 9.30pm.
Officers said he jumped on to the counter, pointing something covered in a white cloth at staff, who activated an alarm.
The attacker then ran away.
He was described as 5ft 10ins and was wearing black trousers, grey trainers, a grey hooded top and black gloves.
