AMERICAN rock band Taking Back Sunday tonight said they hoped fans caught up in the A34 coach crash had a speedy recovery.
Several of the passengers on board the coach hit by a lorry near Drayton on the A34 at about 12.30am were fans who had been to see the band at the Oxford O2 Academy.
They were catching the coach as a replacement for the usual 00.05 train from Oxford to Didcot and Reading. It had broken down and was on the side of the busy through route when a DHL hit it, sending it crashing into a ditch.
The band tonight exclusively told the Oxford Mail: "Our thoughts are with the passengers involved in the bus crash, some of which attended our show in Oxford last night.
"We wish a speedy recovery to those injured, and hope to see everyone on our next trip to UK."
Drummer Mark O'Connell added on his Instagram account: "After our show in Oxford last night there was a bus accident with a lot of people that attended our show.
"We're really sorry that happened and hope everyone feels better soon."
