ABINGDON mum-of-three Emma Warwick battled a 10-mile obstacle course in memory of her daughter.

Mrs Warwick, 39, of Larkhill Road, took on the Winchester Tough Mudder challenge on Saturday, swimming through mud and hurling herself over walls.

She asked friends to sponsor her and has raised £1,100 for the Oxford John Radcliffe Hospital’s Silver Star unit, which supports women with complications in pregnancy.

Mrs Warwick, marketing manager at Abingdon’s Slade Legal, ran the Tough Mudder 10 days after what should have been her first daughter Amber’s 16th birthday.

Mrs Warwick said: “The event was tough, I doubted at times if I could actually complete some of the obstacles but with the help of everyone in the team and my husband Mark I completed it.

“I would like to say a huge thank you to my trainers Berryman Fitness and Results Health and Fitness club, both in Abingdon.”
